VISIT GUAM!
Some time ago, I was asked by Stefan Schäfer of Pilots to make a
scenery for Guam, Saipan, Tinian and Rota Island. Ever since then I wanted to
visit the islands for myself. Now I did and can only encurage you to do the
same!
Visit beautiful Guam! The remote island destination in the Pacific
coast south of Japan offers tropical paradise conditions combined with a modern
community with shopping and attractions.
Two Lovers Point is one of the highlights of any Guam visit. The high
cliff north of the main tourist area of Tumon offers a phantastic view all over
southern Guam. According to the legend, a native couple threw themselfs from
this cliff in ancient times to avoid marriage of the girl to a Spanish soldier.
This is the view from one of Guam's best hideaways, the Inn At The
Bay at Agat. Overlooking the palm clad park side to the north, the visitor will
find peace and quiet in the spacious but affordable suites and rooms. The hotel
features rooms and suites all with cable TV and with kitchenette, a Denny's
restaurant, a pharmacy, cash machine and rental car facilities. It also features
a swimming pool and an "exotic bird" named Kellogwin on the premises.
Diving instruction is provided by the Professional Divers of Agat.
Guam has plenty of sights to see and things to do. Talafofo falls, in
the south east of the islands, is one of the most beautiful scenes around.
The Talafofo Falls are a series of 3 falls by the Talafofo river. It
offers excellent bathing and entertainment opportunities. A cable car leads from
a park like enterance to the falls. There is a museum and gift shop, as well as
the famous Yoki Cave, the earth hole where japanese Soldier Yoki survived from
World War 2 until 1972, when he was discovered. Nobody had told him the war was
over.....
Eating in Guam is a great feast. Visit Guam's restaurant mile in
Tumon and Agana for excellent food and great fun.
Further, you will find all your favorite eating and shopping spots in
Guam.On the Food side you will find Tony Roma's, Kentucky Fried Chicken,
Sizzlers, Shirlies and many more. For Shopping, visit Micronesia Mall with it's
ton of shops and excellent food court, or check K-Mart for latest arrivals. In
Tumon, DSF Galleria offer a wide variety of goods. Once you have shopped until
you drop, take a trip south to Umatac, the old fort in the south where Magellan
landed first, and relax on the old fort above the city.
